those other places...

in niagara fall state park, there are also some places you can go and see besides the falls.

like this one, the niagara gorge discovery center. here you'll know some of it's history... like when was the gorge was formed and many others.

this is skylon tower in canadian side, as far as i know, you can ride that yellow elevator to the top and have a better perspective of the falls. click the picture to take a closer look.

first time i was here (long long time ago), this tulip garden was not yet here, you can find this just outside the restaurant and it's a good spot to have your picture taken. click the picture for a closer look of one of the flower.

now, this is the scenic troley. for $2 per person, you can ride here for the rest of the day. you can use this to go to different part of the park and listen to the same story (from the driver) over and over again, heheheheh.

this is the lady of the mist boat. as you can see, lots of people want to see the falls up close and personal. just be ready to get wet as you come closer to the horseshoe falls. since we were the first batch of passenger in this boat, we had a great spot on the boat to see the falls. click the pictures and see what are they doing...

this is a common thing you can see; friends, family, lovers and even single tourist (from all over the world), asking the next person to them to take their picture. when i saw them asking somebody, i also took their pictures, about 50-70m from them, heheheh.....

niagara falls... again

last weekend, we went to niagara falls (new york side only coz we're not allowed in canadian side). my first time here, i don't have a digicam so i decided to get back here on almost the same exact date as in 2001.

this is the horseshoe falls on canadian side, they said that 90% of the water in niagara gorge comes here, that's 65,000 gallons/second (if i recall it correctly)

the other 10% comes from this falls, the american falls on new york side.

for $11.50 dollar, you can ride maid of the mist (that ferry in the picture) and it will take you as close as possible to the basin of the horseshoe falls, cool!!!

this is the rainbow bridge, it's one of the four bridges that you can cross new york to canada on this side of US. the original bridge here was called honeymoon bridge which collapsed in the winter of 1938 in front of thousands of spectators.

this is what they called the canadian rapids, these water goes straight to the horseshoe falls. i took this picture while we were in three sisters island.

this is the american rapids, according to our tourist guide(driver of the scenic trolley), this rapid was rated at level 6 (which is unusual because the regular rapids are rated from level 1-5, just ask your friend who knows the rating of rapids).

this shot of the american falls was taken while we were at the observation tower during sunset.

this is what you can see every night here. they say the view from the canadian side is better because you have the front view of both falls compare to side view if your in new york side.
