Warmed and buoyed by the response of the recipient community to our first Outreach Program last December 4-5, 2005, we, the ADventure TREKkers Mountaineering Club (ADTREK-MC) Family, have scheduled this August 25-26, 2007 a follow-up with the theme:” Tulong sa Lantuyang: Ikalawang Yugto Tungo sa Kinabukasan”
The recipient of our Outreach Program is a small school for Mangyans in Baco, Oriental Mindoro of about 100 pupils. Situated at the foot of Mt. Halcon, we had the opportunity to visit it during one of our expeditions and sawt he plight of the students. Their lack of books and learning materials is further aggravated by typhoons during rainy seasons as well as the absence of a sustainable government program.
Allow us to reach out to you for help to make this event possible. You can be a sponsor in any of the following capacity:
Ø Sponsor school supplies of one or more pupils/students [P200/pupil]
Ø Donate school supplies such as pad papers, pencils, crayolas, notebooks, etc.
Ø Donate vitamins and food supplements
Ø Donate food for the feeding program (such as tetra pack juices, bread, etc.)
Ø Sponsor/donate classroom repair materials (construction materials)
